Why join the UtahSBA?

Who We Are

The Utah Sport Bike Association is a club made up of men and women who love sport bikes. Members range from people who spend their summers sport-touring around North America to riding the canyons to track junkies and hard-core racers. The club and its members are dedicated to improving the level of education to motorcyclists in the state of Utah as well as promoting sportbikes in a safe and responsible manner.

What We Do

Social Events

The Utah Sport Bike Association (UtahSBA) has monthly meetings where sport bike enthusiasts get together to talk bikes and hang out. Members of the club also regularly organize informal gatherings, such as to watch races, via our on-line forum at www.utahsba.com/forum . The USBA is a fantastic way to meet other men and women who share your passion for sport bikes.

Group Rides

Informal, fun, safe, spirited group rides on a nearly weekly basis. Visit the Group Rides forum at www.utahsba.com/forum for more information

Riding Skills Schools

Advanced Rider Training (ART) programs to learn and hone track, sport touring and street skills. These schools are fun and educational. An ART is your pathway to safer, more refined canyon riding, track riding, and novice racing. There are three types of ARTS: regular ARTs taught on the Monster Mile 0.9 mile go kart track at MMP (80 - 100 mph top speeds), Super ARTs taught on the big track at MMP, and Sport Touring ARTs taught on the big track at MMP. See the UtahSBA schedule for more information.

Racing

The Utah Sport Bike Association promotes the Masters of the Mountains race series (MoM). The USBA also handles New Racer Schools (NRE) and licensing in the region.

Masters of the Mountains is the premiere motorcycle road-racing series in the region. Masters of the Mountains includes race classes for everyone from first-time racers without a lot of track experience (the Provisional Novice class) to professionals looking to win substantial amounts of purse and contingency money. The racing in the series is very competitive, fun and friendly - and it makes for fantastic spectating.

New Racer Schools are provided by the UtahSBA to educate and evaluate riders with some track experience who want to get into racing. Don't be fooled - years of track experience are not required! If you are competent on a track and have completed a track school such as a UtahSBA ART, a NRS may be just the ticket for you. They last half a day and consist of classroom instruction, one or two sessions on the track and a mock race. NRS's are available at all ART events at MMP on race weekends, Apex Trackdays events at MMP, in conjunction with all Masters of the Mountains race weekends.
