Hey David I think you should check the results, there is at least one racer that runs both KoMO and KoMU.

I don't know about a surcharge my race entries last month topped $500(and that was after 300 bucks for fuel just to get to the track) so that means we need 88-96(I have heard two different costs for the full track) racers for the last round on the full track to break even.

I really want to run the full track and when I talk to customers and riders at bike nights about Miller and USBAs program, how over 6 weekends we get 4 differents track configurations, and how that is so much better than racing at Willow Springs that runs the same 8 turns with no possibilty of running anything different, and how much fun is to run.

The board and Miller need to come together and get the costs reasonable. Oh ya Miller needs to get the PA system working.

The amount of hours (upon hours) the board has put into negotiating with Miller on pricing and contracts is truely staggering. I won't go into more detail than that but suffice it to say a LOT of effort is being put in on this matter on behalf of the racers.

If it is possible to get the full-course for round 6 to make cents (see what I did there?) then we will do it.

I'm with Roger on this one. $48K is not chump change for the club (neither is $100 surcharge for the racers). We already raced the perimeter course with WERA - the perimeter is a fun circuit, but lets face it, is it really going to ruin your day running East? We're racing bikes how can that be bad? :D

7 lap sprints on East will provide closer racing, ease the schedule and need for less corner workers and staffing.

I did not make this statement to imply that the board is NOT doing their job or NOT putting in countless hours, Miller needs to understand that USBA is a good reliable customer that will keep returning if they are treated properly (meaning pricing) and USBA has to understand that Miller has bills to pay too, just USBA does not need to pay all of Millers bills. If I am properly informed when USBA first came to Miller the cooperation was much better but maybe not so much anymore. I say this because I don’t want to see USBA died, I watched WSMC die (and WSMC is owned by Willow Springs Raceway).

If you think I don't know a little about this, I gridded up for my first roadrace at Willow in Oct. of 1984 and worked for the club for a few years. I really want to run the full track to see what kind of legs my ZX10 has and that is kinda hard to do on the east or west tracks, I tried to round five last year(on my Honda) too bad we were on East and that damn tire wall slowed way down. LOL
