I am planning on being there Jimi.
Unfortunately my friend with an RV has potentially (probably) backed out on me, so I need to figure out how I'm going to get my bike down there and find a place to sleep. Are there any cheap hotels anywhere close to the track?

I've had it on my calendar since dates were posted. I'm trying to figure out how to pull it off (gotta address some cooling issues). Never run that track and would enjoy the opportuniity for the full Monte! Attachment:

DREWCOLLINS, I'd be honored to accompany you to the dance (better make sure Megan's OK with that). Logistics need to be worked out. My trailer isn't set up for two bikes - and I hope to have my boys with me. I'll PM you. We can certainly talk.... JM Attachment:

JImi - not having been there before, what amenities are available? -
Camping? - water, showers, or porto-lets (or a bucket behind a shed) Fuel, tires, other support? Shade?
Lay it out for me - fully catered 24 hour seafood buffet with off-duty strippers serving me up? Air-conditioned garages with fully-stocked wet bar, what?
Thanks

You are going OLD SCHOOL at RenoFernley Raceway!
Miller's garages and amenities are incredible! Pretty much all Tracks don't compare. : ( But the racing is just as fun!
Need to bring a generator and shade. Bathrooms provided, but no showers.
I believe Sam (TTP) is providing FREE LUNCH on Sat for Racers (and track day riders.. $110 for sat trackday only)
"SPL Pirelli" Tire service will be there All weekend.
"2 Wheel Cust. Perf" will be there selling parts... levers, clutches, shop stuff.
VP race fuel will be brought and sold at the track by RFR/TTP.
Lastly: If any USBA member has a major bike problem, you are welcome to my shop at my house (25 miles from track) to fix anything. Tons of bikes and spare parts that I can lend out.

Brad, You are my ringer for the 650 class! Even if I have to drive back to Miller and pick you up! I wanted to show you the fastest line and passing spots early sat morning, so YOu can just work on getting your race pace needed to WIN $650.
Drew, If you learn tracks quickly and have good basics... you could do well here. There are a few very fast guys, but the majority are here having fun at a medium pace.
Stirz, I think you are the guy on the Buell??? There are two more Buells racing TTP. We should have a fastest American bike trophy.
It is just simple old school racing fun.

jm I'm sure I'll get something figured out to get there. My wife is taking our Tahoe on a vacation to Iowa, and my race truck is out of commission at the moment. I have a trailer that is set up to haul 3 bikes, and I am only bringing the SV. Does anyone have a tow vehicle that would like to head out there together?

Also Jimi,
I was looking at the track maps. Do they run clockwise or counter-clockwise out there?

jm Yep, that's me - I don't think the other guys will need to worry about me - but yeah, that could be fun!. I'm 70/30 on pulling the trigger at this point - throw in hookers and blow and I'm in!

If I remember right, there is a truckstop in Fernley that you can get showers at. you have to pay for them, like $9 bucks or something but still it's a nice hot shower, as long as you want. Don't know if that helps any, but I thought i would throw it out.

I hope the bad mojo don't come back to get you..... Biut yeah, the decision to drop the cooling fans does have consequences. If I could just get my parts from Mil-Spec in a timely manner, that issue will be resolved. It may be tight, but still planning to make the trip if my Dzus come in by Tuesday...... (finish fit up late tuesday, paint wednesday, put it back together on Thursday, hit the road on Friday - that sounds good) Attachment:
