Hello to all who reads this,
I am proud to say that I am still a squid to everything motorcycle. I have a probably a newbie question, but it's been bugging me for a week now. The weather has been cold of late as we all have experienced and I was wondering if there are any restrictions or limits on the roads when the temperature is below 60? The weather is clear sky and beautiful outside and I would love to go riding to any of the many great roads out there but I was wondering if the temperature would restrict any speed or turning on the road? The sky may be clear but the temp's have been in the 40's and 50's, does this do anything to the road or the grip of the tire to the road? I hope I haven't been too confusing if so please let me know so that I may break it down. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Rolling a tire on the road creates friction and warms up the tires. If the ground is not warm it will suck the heat out of your tires quicker than they can warm up. Take it easy out there. I do not ride hard when it is cold outside. I would not hammer it unless it is 70+ with the sun warming the roads. That is my 2 cents on the subject.

layer up,and wear your gear , warm up your tires, and remember to take it easy the cold tires and cold road can make it feel slick. just keep that in mind while you ride. also try and ride on nice days through out the winter, this will keep you from having that "rusty feeling" once spring rolls around next year.

Thank you both for the advice. I was beginning to wonder whether or not I had put the thread in the right spot. I mean, after 40+ views one would think that someone would have the answer. The part about the road feeling slick is exactly what I thought the road would feel like during cold days. I've been threw one winter here in Utah, the second winter I spent deployed, so I know how Utah can get so I don't plan on doing much riding during the winter months especially when it starts to really snow around here. I just want to get a couple rides out the way before winterizing my baby and putting her to bed. Thanks for the advice again and believe me I will be bundling up when I ride.
