Honda Presents the Plaza Cycle's Masters of the Mountains 2008 Racing Series
It has been many a year since there has been "legal" motorcycle roadracing in the state of Utah. Long ago, the club used to race out at Bonneville Raceway (Now Rocky Mountain Raceway) and while Rocky Mountain Raceway has a strong motorcycle drag racing following, its RoadRacing that the UtahSBA is focusing on.
Then came Larry H. Miller, this guy who owned a bunch of car dealerships and a couple of sports teams. Who knew he was a Ford Shelby Corba super-nut? He tried to build a track in Colorado, but that fell through, so much to our joy, he came to Tooele to build a track where, as he said, he could "drive 'till he was silly". Just shy of $100 million dollars later, Utah had a world class racetrack!

New Racers
Riders new to racing are required to attend a New Racer Certification course to receive your Utah Sport Bike Association Race License. New Racer Certifications take place at our Advanced Rider Training schools. But there is a lot more to know than whats covered if you are new to racing. We set up this small corner of "The Internets" (which can be found by using "The Google", just for new racers who need a little help getting ready for their first racing season.
Clubman
Riders toying with the idea or just beginning their racing career should start here. Racers have three chances to race their street bike without having to make any major modifications, just to find out if this is something they want to pursue further or to prepare themselves to move up to a Novice race license.
Novice
Intermediary class for most racers. Novice racers can typically race most amateur classes as well as several shared classes with Experts.
Expert
The pinnacle! Racers are only one step away from the AMA! The Masters of the Mountains Premier classes, KoM GTO & GTU, are intended for the most competitive of racers.
